Bespoke garden design
Our full garden design service supports you from concept through to completion, with a focus on elegant, sustainable, and meticulously crafted solutions.
Following an in-depth consultation, we deliver bespoke designs that integrate environmentally responsible practices and high-quality technical solutions. We manage plant selection, produce layout plans, and prepare technical documentation for contractors, ensuring that your garden meets both your aesthetic aspirations and functional requirements.
The process
-

1. Site Visit
Our collaboration begins with a site visit to understand your aspirations and needs for the garden, while assessing the existing space. Following this, we provide a detailed brief outlining a structured estimate of construction costs, the design process, and a summary of your project objectives.
-

2. Topographical Survey
The next stage involves a topographical survey of the site, documenting existing layouts, levels, and services. Where required, a soil analysis is also carried out to assess appropriate planting conditions.
-

3. Concept Design
At this stage, we present a layout plan illustrating the arrangement and key elements of your new garden, along with material palettes and perspective sketches to help you visualise the overall design concept.
-

4. Technical Design and Specifications
Once the concept design has been finalised, detailed technical drawings and a specification package are produced. These include a layout plan, drainage plan, irrigation plan, lighting layouts, level drawings, cross-sections, and all construction details required for implementation.
-

5. Tendering
A tender package is prepared and issued to contractors in order to obtain quotations for the construction of the garden. We work with trusted contractors, or you may appoint a contractor of your choice.
-

6. Planting Plan
The planting plan indicates the position of all proposed plants and is accompanied by a schedule listing their botanical names, sizes, and quantities, required for costing, ordering, and installation. A planting palette helps to visualise the overall aesthetic, and a maintenance schedule is provided to ensure long-term success.
